About Us

We make small, quirky games for people who take their hobby seriously (even when the games themselves absolutely do not). 

An avid board-gamer since childhood, Patrick McNeil started designing board games for fun around 2010. Strategic parenting allowed him to raise two "gamer" kids, who started inspiring and designing with him. After self-publishing for years on The Game Crafter, Patrick and his son (McMeeple Jr.) had one of their games picked up by a publisher and suddenly a dream started to take shape. 

McMeeple Games now has 3 games in publication with Dox Somnium Games: Dungeon Duel, Space Unicorns, and Talons and Treasures.

Crazy Unicorns is McMeeple Game's flagship product, our first dive into the world of publishing. We have several games in the pipeline that match the "quirky" style that we're drawn to, along with a couple of higher-strategic thinking games for the more intense player.
